INL Foundation Envoy Program

A Role for Leaders Committed
to Community, Science, and the Future

The INL Foundation Envoy Program offers distinguished professionals the opportunity to serve as trusted ambassadors for scientific and technological advancement across the region. As an Envoy, you will help communities navigate the benefits, challenges, and real‑world implications of emerging nuclear, environmental, and intelligent technologies—ensuring that public understanding keeps pace with innovation.

Why Serve as an Envoy?

Communities across the region are making decisions that will shape their economic and technological futures.
They need reliable, unbiased information—delivered by credible voices they can trust. Envoys provide exactly that.

By joining the Envoy Program, you will:

  • Strengthen public understanding of advanced technologies and their community impacts
  • Support informed decision‑making in local and regional planning
  • Promote transparent, science‑driven dialogue in an era of rapid innovation
  • Use your expertise to benefit the public, not special interests

Your voice can help communities build confidence in the technologies they choose to
adopt—and the futures they create.

STEM Education & Outreach

Envoys may also contribute to STEM education efforts for students from Pre‑K through 12th grade. Working alongside INL and the College of Eastern Idaho’s BEA STEM Outreach Center, Envoys help inspire future scientists, engineers, and innovators.

Who We Select

Envoys are chosen for their:

  • Demonstrated career achievement
  • Commitment to scientific integrity
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to explain complex concepts in clear, accessible language

Envoys come from diverse professional backgrounds, but all share a
commitment to strengthening community understanding and supporting
responsible technological progress.

Independence You—and the Public —Can Trust

The INL Foundation operates independently from government agencies, private industry, and INL itself. This separation allows Envoys to provide guidance that is:

      • Objective
      • Transparent
      • Free from commercial or
        regulatory influence

This independence strengthens the credibility of the program—and your role within it.

Make a Measurable Impact

As an Envoy, you will play a meaningful role in shaping how communities think about and prepare for the technologies that will define the future. You will help bridge the gap between innovation and public understanding while contributing to a stronger, more informed region.

If you are committed to public service, scientific clarity, and community engagement, we invite you to consider joining the INL Foundation Envoy Program.
